Fished north today. It was 39 degrees 50 feet down on our Fish Hawk and much calmer than yesterday. It took a while for our first bite. It came on an out down set at 65 ft. with a pair of glow spoons. Our next 2 Kings came on Dreamweaver Natural Glow Captain’s Choice Cut Plugs. One on a 175 copper and the other on a 200 copper. We took 2 more Kings on a low wire diver out 75 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. Our Laker came on the chute rigger fished near the bottom on an 8″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Our action died so we took a west troll out to 400 feet of water. We had 15 rods out and never had a bite on the out or in troll. We were pulling lines when the drag started screaming on a 175 copper with an 8′ UV Lizard Spin Doctor/Green Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig. It took almost 30 minutes to boat the big King. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s copper on all our copper rods.
