We set up in 105 feet of water. It was 57 down 60 feet on our Fish Hawk. Three rods in and our starboard out down set a 75 with a pair of standard DW Blue Hulks went. We boated a King on the Blue Hulks and missed a fish on a 10 color core with a Green Black Ladder Back Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. We set the rest of our rods a waited for the next bite. We stared to wonder if that was it for the morning flurry. Then it hit the fan. It was game on. The out down with the Blue Hulks went 2 more times. A Glow Black Ladder Back Captain’s Choice Cut Plug went on a rigger 60 down. Our port out down set at 65 with a mag Green Hulk and a green glow spoon went twice. The chute rigger down 85 with an 11″ White Slick DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly fired. Starboard high wire diver out 210 with an 8″ White Slick Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took a King. All our rods except our starboard low wire out 110 went. A 200 copper with a Green Splatter Back Captains Choice Cut Plug took a King. We broke off a big fish on a 275 copper with a mag Fuzzy Bear Shelly Snack. We had a Yeck Double Orange Crush on a 7.5 color core that took a Coho. Low wire Deeper Diver out 130 with a 10″ White Crush Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig took 2 fish. Port high wire diver out 185 with a 10″ Black Crush Spin Doctor/Black Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig took fish. After the bite slowed, we turned southwest and trolled to deeper water. We took a Steelhead on the mag Green Hulk on an out down set at 65. A 300 copper with the mag Shelly Snack took a Coho. The starboard out down at 85 with an 8″ White Crush Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took a King and a Coho. We missed a fish on a 400 copper with a mag spoon. Our port out down set at 90 with a mag Green Hulk stacked with a Yeck Wart Frog on a 2 color core went 3 times. Each bite was on the mag Green Hulk. Starboard low wire Deeper Diver out 125 with a 10″ White Crush Black Dot Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig went a couple times. We missed a fish on our port high wire out 230 with the 10″ Black Crush Spin Doctor/Black Gasoline DW Meat Rig. It was crazy good action all morning and I haven’t been able to remember all our bites. Our crew did well on the rods and boated some nice fish. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgon’s Tackle copper and wire. We pull our lead cores and coppers with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
