Went south again today setting up in 100 feet of water and trolled south. It was slow going this morning and a lot more boat traffic. It took a while for us to get a bite. It came on the chute rigger with a 10″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Glow Spin-N-Glo bouncing bottom. We talked to several other boats and it was slow for them too. We moved out a little deeper and took a mature King on a 175 copper with a #3 Silver Horde Pinkie Plug. We took a couple more Trout on the chute rigger and another one on a high wire diver out 120 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Green Gasoline Rig. That high diver went 2 more times. We missed one and lost the other one. We took a Steelhead and a smaller King on a 7.5 color core with a Yeck Fireball. We lost a fish on our other 7.5 color core with a DW Rasta Goose. We had a bite on a 200 copper with a glow spoon but it got off too. We put two more Trout rigs out and took a few more Lakers off the bottom. Our last fish of the day, pictured above, was also our biggest. It came on a 275 copper with a 10″ White UV Spin Doctor/Blue Bubble Dreamweaver Meat Rig. Despite the slow start we managed to pick away at the fish and ended up with a nice catch. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs a pull our cores and Morgan’s Tackle copper with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
