Went out deep today setting up in 200 feet of water a little south of Ludington. We hit 5 fish early but they wouldn’t stay hooked. The rattled our riggers and zipped out line off our coppers. The only one that was on for a while was a Steelhead on a 200 copper with a UV Black Dot Super Slim Starburst and it got off. That bait ended up taking a Laker and 3 Steelhead on a 200 & 250 copper. Our luck changed a little later in the morning and we got some good hookups. Our chute rigger down 75 with a UV Blue Dolphin Super Slim free sliding above a mag Green Dolphin went 3 times and the Super Slim took our biggest Steelhead, pictured below , of the trip. We only had one diver bite. We took a Coho on an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly out 235 on a high wire diver. One of our out downs went twice with a Super Slim Green Jeans free sliding above a regular DW Green Skinny Jeans. We basically did a east west troll between 200 & 440 feet of water. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods. I’m taking some time off to go bear hunting so no reports for a while. Good luck fishing!
