We fished southwest of Ludington this morning on a 5 hour charter setting up in 200 feet of water. Surface temp was 65.3 and 57 degrees down 80 feet. It was a lot rougher than we expected. We put it on a northwest troll. First bite came on an out down set at 90 feet with a mag Bloody Nose spoon. It hit and was gone. We turned back on a southeast troll after two miles without another bite. Our first fish came on the chute rigger down 125 with an 11″ Dreamweaver White Slick Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We turned back on an out troll and took a Steelhead on a 2 color core with a Yeck Double Orange Crush. Took a Laker on a low wire Deeper Diver out 200 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. When we were pulling lines, we found a small King riding on a standard DW Soda Spoon stacked above the Paddle on our chute rigger. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire and pull our lead cores and copper with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
