We fished straight out of Ludington setting up in 110 feet of water and trolling west. Surface temp was 65.7 and it was 59 degrees down 80 feet. We were setting our last copper when our port out down set at 80 with pair of Raspberry Carbons went. We boated a Coho on the stack. The chute rigger down 100 with an 11″ White Slick Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took off. It was a big fish ripping out line. Our 225 copper with a standard DW A Bomb went, and we were doubled up. After a long fight the chute rigger fish got into a low wire diver and escaped. We did boat the fish on the 225. It was a King and the biggest fish of the day.
We missed a fish on the port out down and took another King on a low wire Deeper Diver out 200 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We turned back east in 260 feet of water and took a Steelhead on the turn on the port out down. It was our only bite on the in troll. We turned back west in 115 feet of water. Our starboard out down set at 85 with a standard DW Green Dolphin stacked with a SS Green Dolphin took a small King. It hit the main bait. We hit 1 more fish on our out troll on the low wire Deeper Diver out 200 with the White Slick/Pickle. It broke off just above the fly. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire and pull our lead cores and coppers with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
