We set up in 130 feet of water off the shelf. It was 58 degrees down 90 feet on our Fish Hawk. Much warmer than we expected. As our last rod was being set when a 225 copper with a Green Glow Dreamweaver Plug went. The fish got away. A 300 copper with a mag glow spoon took a King. We edged out a little deeper and dropped our riggers down and divers back.
An 8″ White Slick Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly on a high wire diver went 3 times, once out 265 and two more times out 300. Fin not deployed. A low wire Deeper Diver out 200 with an 8″ White Slick Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig went once. Fin was deployed. A high wire diver out 325 with an 8″ White Crush Two Face Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took a Coho.
We lost a fish on a low wire Deeper Diver out 225 with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Green Mile Meat Rig. Took a nice King on a 375 copper with a standard DW UV Beefeater. A 400 copper went twice with an 8″ White Fish Scale Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Our other 400 copper went twice with a mag glow spoon.
It was a little bumpy today, but the sun was shining, and the temperature was just right. Just wish the fish would have been a little more willing to come to the net. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s copper and wire. We pull our lead cores and coppers with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
