We fished north of Ludington today setting up in 120 fow in the middle of the 01’s and started trolling north. The surface temp was 50 and our Fish Hawk probe was reading 41 degrees down 110 feet. We were marking some fish and bait. First rod to go was an out down set at 65 ft. with a pair of glow spoons. Next we took our biggest fish of the day on a 200 copper with a Yeck Lighting spoon. When our high diver out 250 with a 10″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Yellow Kermit Dreamweaver Meat Rig took a nice King we out in 140 fow. The glow spoons down 65 fired again taking another King. We were still on our north troll working between 140 & 170 fow. A 10″ Margareta Spin Doctor/Leprechaun Big Water Meat Rig took a King on a 300 copper. We turned when we hit the 05’s and trolled south working again between 140 & 170 fow. We hit a couple more fish, one on a pair of DW Beefeater spoons on an out down and one on a 450 copper with a 10″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Froggie Big Water Meat Rig, but we didn’t boat either one of those. Then we had a long dry spell. We worked out to 230 fow and in to 100 fow finally taking a King on the stack on our 65 down rigger. We ended up hitting 2 more fish , one on a low wire out 150 with a 10″ Atomic Killer Spin Doctor/Green UV Big Water Meat Rig which we landed, and we missed one on the Yeck Lighting on our 200 copper. With the exception of one fish on a stack our spoon bites on our riggers were on mag size spoons.

Good fishing today south of Ludington. We started out in 180 fow in the 45’s. Our chute rigger with an 11″ White DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action was the first rod in. Just got the rod tightened up and it took off with a good King on the end. It was set just off the bottom. We landed it, got the rest of the rods set and didn’t take another bite until we turned east. We started marking fish in 165 fow and had good action all the way in to 130 ft. Our best rod was a 10″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Froggie Big Water Meat Rig. It took two Kings on a high wire diver out 330 and another King on a 450 copper. A 350 copper with a 10″ Chrome Spin Doctor/UV On Ice Big Water Meat Rig took two Kings. We kept the chute rigger just off bottom. It took a Lake Trout and missed another fish. Only one spoon bite. It was a mag size glow spoon stacked ten feet above a meat rig down 130 ft. Our first in troll was our best. We worked between the 45’s & 42’s going in to 130 and trolling back out 180 ft.
