Ludington Area Fishing Reports

First bite this morning was on our port out down set at 70 with a pair of UV SS Green Jeans. It went 1 more time a little later. Starboard low wire diver out 170 went almost the same time with a 10″ Dreamcatcher Spin Doctor/Prototype Little Boy Blue DW Meat Rig. Starboard out down set at 90 with a pair of SS Sodas went 2 times. Port high wire diver out 250 went 4 times with an 8″ White Slick Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Starboard high wire out 270 went 2 times with a 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Big Red DW Meat Rig. Port low wire out 160 went 1 time with a 10″ White Crush Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. Port 5 color took a Steelhead on a Double Orange Crush. We lost a fish on our port 10 color with a Fireball. Starboard 300 copper took a King on an 8″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Red Pepper Meat Rig. Port 375 went once with an 8″ Black Slick Spin Doctor /Red Pepper Meat Rig. No bites on our chute rigger. We ran a 2 boat bachelor party trip with Knotty Girl. All participants had a fun time. We use Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs, and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.

First rod to go this morning was a 7.5 color core with a Sunshine spoon. It was a King. Later it took a Coho. Starboard 225 copper went 1 time with a SS UV Green Jeans. Starboard 300 copper went 3 times with an 8″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Red Pepper Meat Rig. Port low wire diver out 150 went 2 times with the same rig that was on the 300 copper. Starboard high wire diver out 170 went 1 time early with an 8″ Dreamcatcher Spin Doctor/Glow Little Boy Blue Fly. It went again later with a 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Big Red DW Meat Rig. Starboard low wire went 1 time with a 10″ Dreamcatcher Spin Doctor/Prototype Glow Little Boy Blue DW Meat Rig and 1 time with an 8″ Chrome White Crush Two Face Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Port out down set at 70 went 3 times with a pair of SS UV Green Jeans. The top bait was stacked 15 ft. above the main bait. Starboard out down set at 90 went 2 times with a pair of SS Sodas. Chute rigger went 1 time down 100 with an 11″ White Slick DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Our crew had a fun time fighting some nice fish. We use Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs, and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
