We set up in 100 feet of water. The surface temp was 62.5. It was 52.5 at 55 ft. down on our Fish Hawk. We got off to a slow start going 2 for 3 in the first hour but the action picked up after that.
Our top rods were an out down set at 75 with a pair of standard Dreamweaver Soda spoons. There is a picture of one below. They went 4 times, twice on the free slider and twice on the main bait.
A high wire diver out 210 went twice with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Our chute rigger down 85 with an 11″ White Slick Dreamweaver Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went 4 times. A mag Fuzzy Bear Arlo on a 300 copper took 2 Kings. An 8″ Double Chrome Spin Doctor with a red and black meat rig out 165 went twice. Our highest bite came on a 10 color core with a Yeck Fireball. A low wire Deeper Diver out 135 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig took our biggest King, 26.06 lbs. It ran out 753 feet of wire before it stopped on its first run.
We had an experienced crew that did a great job on those Kings. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
