The weatherman was half right today. Predictions of 4 to 5 ft. waves were wrong, but we did get thunderstorms. We had to cut our trip short due to lighting in the air. The early bite was good up north. We were fishing between 140 & 100 feet of water (fow). Our hot rig today was a pair of Fuzzy Bear Yellow Tail spoons 75 down on an out down. We had mag size for the main and a regular sliding above it. We ended up putting the same combo on our other out down at 85 ft. and that took a couple bites too. We had our high wires set at 200 and 155 with 10″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctors and Froggie and Green Mile Big Water Meat Rigs. We only had 1 low wire bite and that came on a 10″ Black Crush Spin Doctor/Froggie Big Water Rig out 110 ft. A mag size DW Beefeater spoon on a 300 copper took our last fish before the lightning chased us off the Lake. We use Erie Dearie Meat on all our meat rigs.
