We set up in 130 feet of water a little south of Ludington on a 5 hour trip this morning. Surface temp was 65.1 and it was 60 down 70 feet on our Fish Hawk. We took our first fish, a nice Steelhead, in the dark on a 3 color core with a Yeck Double Orange Crush. Took a King on an out down set at 80 with a mag Raspberry Carbon.
We were getting ready to turn back east when an out down set at 75 with a pair of standard DW UV Beefeaters went. A Steelhead took the free slider. Our last fish came on a northwest troll on a 250 copper with a standard DW UV Green Jeans. I don’t think the big bright full moon helped the bite this morning. We use Morgan’s copper and wire and pull our lead cores and coppers with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.

After a long fight the chute rigger fish got into a low wire diver and escaped. We did boat the fish on the 225. It was a King and the biggest fish of the day.
We missed a fish on the port out down and took another King on a low wire Deeper Diver out 200 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We turned back east in 260 feet of water and took a Steelhead on the turn on the port out down. It was our only bite on the in troll. We turned back west in 115 feet of water. Our starboard out down set at 85 with a standard DW Green Dolphin stacked with a SS Green Dolphin took a small King. It hit the main bait. We hit 1 more fish on our out troll on the low wire Deeper Diver out 200 with the White Slick/Pickle. It broke off just above the fly. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire and pull our lead cores and coppers with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
