Free Style Charters Ludington Fishing Reports

We set up a little deeper this morning. Surface temp was 71 and it was 49 degrees 50 feet down on our Fish Hawk. We didn’t have all our divers set when our starboard out down with a pair of standard Dreamweaver Green Hulks went off. It was a King that took the free slider. Those Green Hulks went 3 more times, twice on the free slider. Our 11″ White Slick DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly down 70 didn’t go again today, but a Super Slim Green Hulk stacked 20 feet above it went 3 times. It took a Coho and 2 Steelhead. Later in the morning we swapped it out for an 11″ Black Slick DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly and stacked the SS Green Hulk 20 feet above the Paddle. We lowered it down to 120 feet. The Paddle didn’t go but we took a big Laker on the stack. Only one diver bite. Our high wire diver out 200 went with a 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Lots of bites off our Ninja Boards. A 200 copper with a DW Rasta Goose took our biggest King. A 7.5 color core with a Yeck Double Orange Crush went twice and so did a UV DW Beefeater on a 250 copper. A Black Green Glow mag spoon went 3 times on a 325 copper. It was a nice morning to be fishing out of Ludington. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire. We pull our lead cores and coppers with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.

We set up in 110 feet of water and trolled west. All rods were set and we were waiting for our first bite when our starboard out down set at 65 fired. It had mag Dreamweaver Hulk as the main bait with a standard DW Hulk free sliding above it. The King took the free slider. It went again a little later and that fish took the slider too. We had bites on a low wire Deeper Diver out 125 with a 10″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Meat Rig. A mag DW UV Beefeater on a 350 copper went twice. Our 250 copper with a Coyote Stingray took a King. The chute rigger down 110 with an 11″ Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly didn’t go, but we took a Coho on a DW Rasta Goose stacked 20 feet above it. We took a Steelhead and lost a fish on a 7.5 color core on a Yeck Double Orange Crush. A 10″ White Crush Green Fish Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW meat rig out 140 on a low wire Deeper Diver took a big King. We lost a fish on a 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly out 240 on a high wire diver. Our starboard high wire diver out 210 that has been one of top producers didn’t go all trip. We left it out and was the last rod in the water. Just as we were going to pull it a fish did hit it but didn’t hook up. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
