We weren’t sure what we be up against after the north blow yesterday. We set up in 100 feet of water. The surface temp was 72. It was 51 down 60 feet on our Fish Hawk. All our rods were set when our out down set at 65 with a mag Dreamweaver Half Hulk and a standard DW Hulf free sliding above it went. The King took the free slider. Our high wire diver out 210 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went next.
The was our hot rig for the trip. It went 4 times and took our biggest fish, a 26.48 lb. King. Our chute rigger down 70 with an 11″ White Slick Dreamweaver Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went 3 times.
We took 2 fish on a low wire Deeper Diver out 125 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig.
Our other low wire Deeper Diver out 140 took a King on an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. Our port high wire diver out 230 took a King on a 10″ Two Face Spin Doctor/Green Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig. First Mate Abe has a tendency to think outside the box. Last week he put a Gold Yeck Fireball on a 400 copper and took a King on it. He did it again today and it took our second biggest King. We took a Steelhead and a Coho on a Yeck Double Orange Crush on a 7.5 color core. Our crew did a great job on the rods and didn’t lose a fish. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s copper and wire.

Two other boats converged on us and we were boxed in. We pulled lines again and ran back south. We had bites on a high wire diver out 210 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. The port high wire had an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig out 180. Our chute rigger went 3 times at 70 ft. with a 11″ White Slick DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. It was stacked with a standard DW Soda spoon. The first time it went the fish took the stack. The other 2 times they took the Paddle. Our starboard out down set at 75 went with a mag Dreamweaver Half Hulk and a DW Hulk free sliding above it. Later in the morning we lowered it to 110 ft. and it went once there. Port out down at 60 went once with a #4 Black & White J-Plug. We took a nice King on a 10 color core with a standard DW Shelly Snack spoon. One of our last Kings came on a 7.5 color core with a Yeck Double Orange Crush. Our last fish came on the port out down with a mag Blue Spotted Dolphin. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
